Network & DDoS Protection
- All data in transit is encrypted using SSL
- Traffic is routed through Cloudflare, providing 15 Tbps DDoS protection combined with rate limiting and a web application firewall
Data Storage
- Application data is held in MySQL databases
- Passwords are encoded using BCrypt strong hashing — they are never stored in plain text
- All data is stored within the UK

- Automatic nightly database backups

- Disaster recovery leverages Equinix's multiple facilities across London
GDPR Compliance
Party Wall PRO acts as both data controller and data processor in relation to the personal data it holds. We process data that users voluntarily provide to us in the course of using the platform, including building owner names, postal addresses, surveyor contact information and party wall matter details.
What We Do to Comply
- Data processing agreements are in place with our infrastructure providers, including Digital Ocean
- Our terms and conditions and privacy policy have been updated to reflect our obligations under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Compliance-by-design procedures are embedded in our internal processes
- All data is stored within the UK
- International data transfers are handled in accordance with UK GDPR requirements
